Our Queensland State Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join the team on a temporary basis. Based in Brisbane Inner CBD, this is a 6-month temporary role with the potential for extension, paying a casual hourly rate of $76.50 plus super.
About the Role
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial support across multiple divisions. This includes budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, variance analysis, and ensuring alignment with funding and strategic priorities. You will lead monthly financial reviews and provide insights to assist with decision-making and performance improvement. The role also involves preparing full-year forecasts, managing divisional budgets and funding arrangements, identifying financial risks and opportunities, and developing collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
About You
- Strong experience in business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within complex environments, preferably within the public sector;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify financial risks and opportunities;
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with a range of senior stakeholders;
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines;
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Business; and
- Professional membership or progression towards CPA, CA or equivalent is preferred.
- 6 months with potential for extension;
- Hybrid work options; and
- $76.50 per hour plus super.
