Job Senior Finance Officer

Brisbane CBD location $66.23 + super an hour 2 month contract

We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Officer for a critical department.

Your contribution
As the Senior Finance Officer, you will:

• Coordinate and manage Finance processes in the department including AP, AR and purchase requisition
• Appointed as one of the certified procurement officers in the department to ensure that purchases are made are in line with the Queensland procurement policy
• Responsible officer for the departments corporate cards, petty cash and cost center management.
• Act as the main liaison officer between Queensland Shared Services and the department and manage general finance queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly expenditure, revenue and trial balance reports and complete an audit sample of transactions processed.
• Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist the Finance Team Leader during the annual end of financial year audit process.
• Supervise and provide training of casual and temporary employees within the work unit during major electoral events and participate actively in all facets of the conduct of electoral events where required.
