About the role:
Encara's Allied Health team is rapidly expanding. We currently have multiple roles available across South East Queensland for Allied Health Assistants with a special interest in Podiatry. The Podiatry Allied Health Assistant role is based in the residential aged care setting, attending to general foot and nail care as referred by a Podiatrist or Registered Nurse. The role is aimed at supporting Encara’s podiatry team to deliver consistent podiatry care for residents. This role is based out of Brisbane.
What your role will include in Residential Aged Care:
- Basic foot and nail care for residents;
- Treating common foot disorders and applying dressings;
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team at the facility, such as Registered Nurses and Care Managers, along with Encara’s Clinical Podiatry team; and
- Documentation of clinical notes following each treatment.
Required credentials:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Podiatry specialty preferred);
- National Police Check;
- NDIS Worker Screening Check; and
- COVID and Flu Vaccinations.
All applicants must hold or be eligible to hold Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Podiatry specialty preferred), Covid-19 vaccinations, willing to undergo a police check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
