Vivid Recruitment is partnering with a highly respected, Australian-owned engineering consultancy with a strong national presence and growing international footprint. Known for their technical excellence and client-first approach, they’ve been delivering structural and civil solutions across commercial, residential, education, and infrastructure sectors for decades.
Their Brisbane office is expanding, and they’re looking for a talented Structural Engineer with 4–5 years’ experience to join their team and play a key role in the delivery of a diverse pipeline of projects.
THE ROLE
In this role, you’ll apply sound engineering principles to deliver practical, buildable, and cost-effective solutions. Working alongside senior engineers and drafters, you’ll contribute to all aspects of project delivery — from concept to construction documentation — while liaising with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver structural designs, documentation, specifications, and reports
- Solve complex engineering challenges using a mix of first-principles thinking and modern tools
- Liaise with drafters to ensure the delivery of high-quality structural documentation
- Coordinate and communicate with architects, builders, and services consultants
- Use design software including ETABS, SpaceGass, RAM, and RAPT
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, quality systems, and WHS practices
- Assist in preparing fee proposals and project bids
- Provide support to senior engineers while steadily building your own autonomy
You’re a motivated and detail-driven engineer ready to step up on larger and more complex projects within a collaborative and dynamic team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Ideally 4–5 years’ experience in a local consultancy
- Proficiency in ETABS, SpaceGass, RAM, and RAPT
- Member of Engineers Australia (or working towards CPEng)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working closely with drafters and coordinating across disciplines
- Familiarity with local codes and Australian standards
- Strong pipeline of exciting Queensland-based projects
