About the role:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in planning, executing and reporting on internal audit engagements across various industries. This will include performing tests of internal controls and reviewing relevant organisational policy and procedural documentation and frameworks. This will also involve developing an understanding of RSM’s internal audit processes and methodology, and assisting with development of risk and controls matrices;
• Having the ability to research industry trends and regulatory requirements to provide insights and to help clients to understand the regulatory landscape and improve processes to assist with compliance;
• Using data analytics tools and techniques to extract insights from client data and support findings;
• Working with clients to evaluate existing processes and frameworks to recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of processes and control environments;
• Actively participating in training and on the job learning to build technical knowledge in internal audit, risk management and other key areas;
• Having a can-do attitude and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth;
• Having the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment;
• Collaborating with colleagues and team members to complete engagements and deliver high-quality services;
• Identifying and referring ethical, independence and conflict issues to supervisors;
• Completing allocated tasks in accordance with directions given; and
• Maintaining personal documentation (training records, time sheets, expenses)

About you:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant tertiary degree and/or qualification – for example, this may include (but is not limited to) Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Law, Mathematics, Actuarial Science.

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

• Strong Communication Skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Strong abilities in working with Microsoft suite of programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• You are a self-starter and a team player, and you can bring your unique skills and ideas to the table;
• Basic awareness and understanding of business financial affairs and other internal and external factors impacting clients and their businesses
